Hey everybody, you're listening to another episode of Walk -Ins Welcome. We're excited to talk to you and Michael has a strange look on his face. It's just kind of out of nowhere. You just kind of like jerked toward me. Are you okay? I staring at the back of the screen like, it straight? I think it's straight. Okay, so you're over here doing like technical. I said welcome to Walk -Ins Welcome. go, can't wait for you to go back and look at that. Cause I was like, God, he's going to hit me. Anyway, Michael, Michael is not dangerous today, but he could be.
You never can tell. No, you can't. Anyway, welcome to the welcome to the show. We're excited to have you. We're going to be talking about some resources and tools, but as always, they're designed to help you get more patients, deliver better care, get repeat visits and scale your clinic. That's what we're all about. What's up, man? I feel like an old man. I'm thinking about how nice the weather is right now. I mean, here we are in Birmingham and it broke into the seventies as a high.
and I think a little 80 today, but like tomorrow, like 50s and 70s. It's just a super nice week in terms of weather for us. It's good time to be outside. It's gonna be nasty tomorrow though. Yeah, we're a podcast talking about the weather. Yeah, exactly. Old man talk. Anyway, no, so tools today. So the reason why I bring this episode up, we're going to promote ourselves for this episode a little bit, but we have a new tool. And the tool you can actually just go to patientcaremarketingpros .com and you'll see a big button that says
kind of check out yourself online. You click that button and you put in some information. Now, why are we telling you this? This is not just a tool to get your information. Yes, we do get your information. I'm not going to deny that. But it does give you real information. It actually shows you what's going on from a pure how Google sees you situation. And it even tells you like this is good or bad. And so we're putting out some encouragement to you guys. It's non -biased. Yeah.
It's non -biased, it's barely branded, like it's just straight to you guys, like here's some information and it's live. It doesn't require you to, technically it doesn't require you to have the email address to send to, because it gives it to you in the window itself. But why do we want to bring that up? Well, at the end of the day, if you don't know how you're doing online compared to your competitors, you're missing out. And this tool is something that we, now I'm not going say we invented, but we added to our set of resources because it gives you a good starting point.
We even use a tool ourselves when we go talk to somebody. We run the tool ourselves. So this is what the internet says you're doing. And if it's not what you think it means, or it's like, I thought I did better than this. Now we have a talking point, right? So a couple of things that looks at. One is directories. And for those who don't know what directories are, you can take a good guess and probably figure it out. But name address, phone number, all the things that website address, all the things that represent your business.
how are all these directory listings, which are sites that list you with other people, is accurate or is it inaccurate? Because you may have submitted something at some point or somebody did, but it may be completely wrong right now. So it digs into that. It does a full check on what do you call the thing that shows the numbers of the rankings around the location? What's the official name? you're talking about a heat map. So it's a heat map. Yeah. it's a full map or a geogrid. You can look at it either way. It's the coolest looking.
way to visualize your rankings. If you want to know like how I physically ranking in these certain areas, it shows you that. And as far as ranking goes, it's literally the only thing I care about. Yeah, exactly. Like not figuratively. And it's the only thing on ranking. And it even does like a full red light, green light, yellow light type thing where if it's green, it's good. If it's yellow, it's OK. It's red and it's non -existent. That's right. So it gives you that information.
It looks at your reviews. It tells you like what you should and shouldn't be doing. It looks to see if you have a chat widget. It looks to see what kind of website you're running. It looks at overall, like, does this make sense? And then it gives us here at the company a score. So it even says like, is this something that needs a lot of attention or are they in pretty good shape? Yeah, and I like that. don't really ever want to hop on a meeting with an urgent care clinic or a patient care clinic and sit there and try and sell somebody something they don't need. Yeah. All right.
But the fact is, is that an urgent care is dependent on search engine optimization in Google Ads. They're dependent on that for new patients on the regular. And what this report allows you to do is get a good starting spot. I like to look at it as if we're running a race, you can see all those markers, you start in different spots. Even though the goal is to finish where you start.
has an impact. So if you're an urgent care that's way back here on the starting line, we got a lot of work to do. But if you're an urgent care that's already up here and going, you're not going to have as much work to do. And if you're trying to hire an agency or bring somebody in -house, running this kind of report is going to let them know where they can get started to have the most impact the quickest. And also, too, just a side note, run this report. And if you have an agency that you just hired,
after a few months run the report again and see did my score change. It's doing honest information too. It's not like trying to pad a number. Now I do want to in full disclosure talk about the report is very search engine optimization. Yes. Focus. It's not for Google ads. It's not going to tell you how that's performing. It's not going to tell you how your Facebook ads are performing. And in all fairness, I haven't seen a report yet that shows that kind of data. Well, I mean, we know so.
our report for Google Ads audit is us actually getting in log into your account and just telling you we do that quite often now where we'll grab a view only give us a view only access we go take a look and we tell you what's good and bad we had one we're like this actually looks really good if you hired us I don't think you're gonna be much happier and then we've had quite a few saying I don't know what we're looking at right now but I know we can help you know that that's great that you brought that up because we were talking to this company I believe it was an American Family Care I can't remember but
Anyway, they said we need this to improve and we're looking at it and going, that's as good as it gets. Like that's the best it gets. So my question to you is if that's the best it's, it's going to perform on the account. What's the problem? Yeah. Why are you so, why are you upset? Are you, are you getting the wrong people? you, or are you just wanting more? Yeah. Cause I mean, we know in the, paid ad world,
If things are dialed in and dialed in is completely dependent on the industry and your location and dialed in world for us is less than $10 a conversion. A conversion is a lead as taking an action. That's like going to book online, making a phone call, those type of things. Our benchmark is $10 or less. So like if we're meeting that and they're still like, we want more patients. Well, it then becomes a legitimate budget question. Like how much budget?
are you willing to put into it? Because we see that. And there is diminishing returns. There's at some point, Google will be like, give me more money. And we have to say no, because it's not actually helping anything now. And that's true. There is diminishing returns. And we're able to pull that data for our clients and our prospects, where we're like, well, you're getting 50 % conversion on all of the searches that are going on.
just they're not going to allow you to show more ads and push all of your competitors out. They're just not going let it. There's a whole episode that we did on how Google levels the playing field for everybody. I encourage you to go back and take a listen to that. But more importantly, going back to the report, is you are going to get this information delivered to your email or right there on the screen that you can download. But then, what do you do with this information? Michael, what do you do with this information? Well, mean, one, you can just download it and say, well, that looks kind of cool.
And then ignore it. at it go. Pretty colors. That's cool. That looks cool. I'm green. I like it. Right. To it gives you not. It kind of gives you a starting game plan, right? Like what should I do next? Three, you could just contact us and we could. Yeah, we could definitely help you because we get the same report and we're also nice about it. We don't like light you up when we see a report. We give you some time to marinate and then if we don't hear anything from you, we actually have some DIY tools that we can provide to actually can fix.
a lot of the red in those reports. That's exactly what I was going to bring up, by the way. So yes, you can contact us, but also if you go to resources on our website, there's the DIY toolkit that we've put together where you can either take it and implement it yourself. You can hand it over to your marketing person internally and then they can take it and execute it. Here's what I know for sure. We've helped a lot of urgent cares and a lot of weight loss clinics and a lot of chiropractors and a lot of dentists and all this. We've helped a lot of
patient care clinics, execute these internally, just because we're their agency. And because of that, we've been able to litmus test all of these strategies and we've put them into this DIY toolkit for you to be able to go and execute. we give it away because one, we want to help you with two, we know deep down you don't have time for it. And you won't be able to do everything that we're telling you to do. We're literally giving you -
down that you don't have time. Yeah, exactly. Like, I mean, the things that we there's a reason why there's a team of 12 of us here. Yeah, like that. And they all have their specific roles or the crossovers getting less and less because it takes so much effort to do the things that we have. Michael, we have some good friends in the industry that it's a PT clinic. yeah. That was a funny conversation. They booked a time in my calendar and they let me know up front where we are doing this in house. We're not looking to hire.
But we like to talk to you. That's fine with me. just like to talk. Well, and even before it got into your thing, I was talking to the other guy and he was like, is this a unicorn position? And I'm like, yes. You stole it from me. what I was talking like when he said he goes, Nick, this is all the things that we need this internal person to do. One person. One person. me straight. Does this even exist? No. And I was like, man, you know, it does it.
It doesn't exist. Someone can say they can do all the things, but they can't do all things. Well, that's that's people on on their resume, man. There's no nice way to say. Yeah, I mean, the amount of time because what I mean right now, so I want to break guys is transitioning to more of a production management type role. And so he's being fully exposed to everything that we do and from a very deeper level. And it's a lot of like I did not know that, you know, that type of stuff. And then it becomes a how do I have time to look at all anyway?
All that being said, the unicorn model is a real thing. Straight up, there's a reason why it takes teams of people and companies for a marketing department. It's not a marketing person. Obviously, there's a line in terms of how much can you afford and what can you do. And I think that's why agencies even exist. It's that we're that buffer between the internal person that doesn't have time and a full department team. Well, if you really think about it, it's I need all of these.
things to be done at a very excellent level. I don't have the workload for 10 people for 40 hours a week. but I need all of them to be executed at a very high level. And that's how an agency steps in. Really, if I'm being honest, that agency can get done in 10 hours in a week. What you would take an entire month or never to get to and full time employment benefits, sick time vacation.
I could go on with all the negatives on that too, just being a business owner. There's that side of it too, stealing from you. Lawsuits. Lawsuits. All the things that come along with that. I'm not trying to scare you from it. What I'm saying though is it was funny that they had reached out. They just wanted me to tell them the truth. Yeah. And I appreciated the fact that they trusted me to tell them the truth. I appreciate that. We worked with them for a long time until they took their marketing in -house, which we all mutually agreed. That's the best thing where you are in your business. Yeah.
I mean, we like telling people no sometimes. But since they did, they just like Nick, she'd be straight. And there's two of them. And anyway, doesn't matter who they are. I love them to death. They're great people. But I was like, I don't mean to like, you need a, for what you're asking for and what you need, you need at least five, five team members full time. You need a director and four gophers. Go for this, go for that, right?
So you need that for what you're asking me for. That doesn't exist in one person. specifically, they're like, I need somebody who is full, like totally understands Google Analytics and is creative. Like those are two different sides of the brain. I need a numbers person and a creative person. And I need to be able to talk to me professionally. I'm a creative. Michael is a? Numbers. Numbers and analytics. Yeah.
There's no way I can do what he does at the level he does it. And I don't honestly, I'm not even trying to be rude, but I don't think you could do what I do at the level that I do it. No, I mean, I know my place. Yeah. And I know mine and I don't try and get yours. You what mean? That's like you hired your weaknesses, right? So anyway, back to the report. The report is there to help you get the information you need, where to start. There's resources available on our website for you to go to download.
And then there's links for discovery calls where if you have questions, myself, Michael, Grace, Kelsey, Devin, one of us will hop on a call with you and answer your questions. Nobody will push you. Nobody will tell you to do anything. We're just there to be a resource and to help you. yes, our end goal is to bring on new urgent care clinics and new patient care clinics into our marketing agency because we really love working with you. But we're going to give first. Yep. Always.
So talking about tools, I want to talk about our Inside Joke tool. don't know if you can guess what it is. You're talking about Spy? Spy food. I can't wait to cancel that. Yeah, for four years. So just some other tools. I'm going give you some insider secrets in the world of agency world. the tool that we mentioned to you guys, it's great for the non -agency, right? You're a clinic. You're trying to figure out what's going on online for you, converted to your competitors.
But if you're like, I want to dig in a little deeper. want to be more, know more about my competitor. There's a tool called SpyFu. Yes, Spy F U. So I'm, I am sure that was an intentional name, but it's been around for a long time now. was thinking Kung Fu. don't know where you went with that. SpyFu. You went a different direction. Well, I went to direction that they would not allow on a license plate. That's the direction I went. So SpyFu .com
You get a free account, which is enough for an individual. What is it? Why do you want that? Why do we use this? It's a competitor research tool. You drop your competitors URL in there, their website address, and then it will tell you are ads running. if they are, here's our prediction on the budget that are currently running. Here are the keywords that they're running, and here's the actual ads that are currently live. And if they've been running ads for a long time, it will show historical data. It's super cool.
We use as a complete research tool of like what are the competitors up to right now? And it's really super helpful when you're hitting a brick wall like when we were saying, why is that competitor always outpacing us? Plug it in. let's see. That's what they're trying right now. Let's fix it. Let's go try that now. it's giving you tools to trade, right? And that's one of those tools that's just a lot of fun to talk about because it does work. Other tools out there now, if you're super nerd, there's SEMrush. That's a full SEO tool.
Go find that. I'm not going to talk about it because we don't use it internally, but it is like an industry standard. And then if you're also like, love data, have HC Analytics is another tool that the industry loves. It just pulls everything together. for reporting. So that's, mean, let's just be honest. These are tools that we like to use. We've utilized, honestly, you'll be exposed to as a client. Like if you're a client, these are things we'll probably talk to you about. That's right. So.
But anyway, I just want to bring that to your table because I mean, there are some of you guys out there that are just like super nerdy about it and want to dig in. And this is I'm short cutting a little bit for you. The things that work. We've been using a lot of these tools for years now and they've only gotten better. And of course, the AI in the mix of everything, there's always improvements or changes or new software is rolling out. So there's always something new to talk about. say that that reminds me Spy food. That reminds me they put an AI button when it was new, like
click this AI and then he goes, just kidding, we wouldn't know if you were interested. was KW. was it? I that KW. But it was so funny because it was like the first two months of AI, was like AI snake oil had come out. yeah. And so everything was AI. It was just a buzzword. It was funny. And they would say, here's our new AI. And you click it and it's like, yeah, you're right. It's just like, we were just curious if you were going to do anything with it. And lo and behold, they never actually put AI on their stuff. I don't think they did. They just removed it and moved on with life. Well, mean, in all fairness, what are they going to
I digress. I digress. So here's what we want you to do. Go to patientcaremarketingpros .com. You can click on the big green button that says get your digital health check. That's what we've named it. digital health check. That's right. And on the digital health check, you're going to enter in your own information, the name of your business, and it's going to automatically populate information based on your Google business profile.
And even the search results that it's going to pull from will be how you categorize your urgent care clinic. So just to be clear on that, you're not entering keywords or anything like that. It's name, email. I don't even think you have to put your phone number there. You just put your business name and that's all you need. And you'll get a report. It takes about 90 seconds. Yeah. Let it work because it's pulling good data off the internet. Yeah. It'll tell you how fast your website anyway, it'll tell you all kinds of good information about that. Once you get it, go to the resource.
download the DIY toolkit if that's your next step and you want to implement this or hand it over to your marketing team. Hey, here's the report. You've been here for three years and we suck. Here's the DIY. I'm not firing you today, but you have 30 days to fix it. Right? Like I'm serious. Yeah. mean, it's a real thing. Here you go. This is what I paid you for. This is what needs to be done. The next step there is if it's not to your liking or you want help, book a discovery call with Kelsey or Grace and
All they're there to do is just answer your questions. And if you think we're a good fit, then we'll move on from there. Now, I'm tired of pitching. This podcast has never been for pitching our services. And I don't want to start now. So I'm stopping there. I don't want to do it. That's not what it's for. It's here to be a resource for you. So that's it. one of only reasons why we brought it up, we silently put it on the site about a month and a half ago. It's being used.
And now we're actually seeing urgent care. Like actually urgent care is going in and doing it. The funniest one, though, which I still wish they would talk to us, because I want to know if they know each other. Within the same week, we had two urgent cares from Oklahoma from neighboring cities submit their audit with similar names, similar names, but different actual companies and different actual people. But literally, I looked and I was like, this has to be the same person, just a different location. And I look up the locations and they're about
two miles apart, but they're completely separate. It's probably failing. It might be. Maybe it is. Anyway, we try to reach it out. They wouldn't come back to us. But I just want to know at this. You're in Oklahoma City and you filled out a report. Give us a call. Yeah, I want to know, are you all related? That's what we really want. Yeah, I mean, this point.
Hey, look, we don't like gossip internally, but we like it externally. So if you want to, if you want to bring the family drama to our podcast, you want to bring to the podcast and talk about it, like matter of fact, let's have a Donna Hugh or what's the other guy, Jerry Springer moment. Here's what we'll do. We'll put one over there, one over here and y can hash out your family. Urgent care drama right here. we'll just let it record and then use it for a court date later. You know, all the stuff it's all this is recorded live. So it's all good. It's inadmissible to submissive.
I don't even know the word. It's not going to be used in court. That's awesome. All right, guys. We'll just want to bring a tool to you. We promote ourselves a little bit. Also introduce some cool other tools that we use internally. If you have some questions about Less, we can send you a report from any of these things and just kind of say, this is why we use it and this is what it's telling us. But yeah, just let us know and we'll catch you on the next one. All right. Last thing, even though you would close this out, hit that subscribe button. Hit that subscribe button in our Facebook group. See y 'all.
